The top one is perfect for small jobs. The POINTED slot is for
non-insulated lugs and the oval one for insulated ones. It is
important that the "point" be in BACK of the non-insulated type, not
in front, (where the slot is) and that the pointed hole NEVER be used for
insulated lugs,
as their construction is different, and the crimp will not be as
strong as it should be.
