[Spridgets] steering wheel removal

Is there anything I can do before I reinstall the steering wheel to  
make the next removal any easier?

I already greased the splines and cone of column.  Every time I pull  
it it's really a struggle.

I used a jaw puller that I ground down to fit behind the stock wheel  
but it still deforms the stock wheel when I do it.
