I got my Motorcycle license in 1953, my Automobile license in 1955
and my heavy vehicle license in 1957, and my FIA license in 1959.
If you could make a round trip of ~80 miles without getting a flat
tire it was considered a lucky day... !!
Changing the tire on a split rim truck tire was no fun.....
