Mine had a 90 degree adapter in the tunnel that makes getting it off easy.
PaulA has the best stuff as far as speedo cables go. He might even have the
adapter.

Greetings, it's been a while:
My speedo stopped working. It's not the speedo itself; the cable is not
turning. Also the cable cannot be turned when the car is still, making me
think that the cable is ok. But I cannot get the cable disonnected from the
transmission drive....it's too cramped in the tunnel.
Anyone have any ideas on how to disconnect the cable in the tunnel?
Anyone know where I can get a replacement speedo drive for the Datsun 5 speed?
