Very quickly because I'm tired and I have to get up early to catch my flight
tomorrow...
Event went well, I think. Much work accomplished on the car. Pictures are
in my camera but I will not get to download for a few days as I am off to
Georgia. Frank "The Gimp" and I launched into more pre-paint prep work today
- as much as his leg would allow him. Much of the bondo and Taco Bell
wrappers are on and the bonnet is fitted (not small task, eh, Kevin?) sanded
and treated with rust killer (surface prep). The sheet metal work is
virtually finished and Fr. Jack helped us with some sanding today.
The group was great and all worked their keester off for two days. Nearly 12
hours of work on Saturday. It was great to see everyone! Will try to add
more updates with pics soon. Meanwhile, since I am on the road, perhaps a
few of the others can stick some pics up somewhere??
Huge thanks to the lovely Mz. Clarici who kept the food and coffee flowing!
Thanks also to Doug Miller who provided professional level welding
instruction for two days! The Gimp is currently enscounced on the sofa
grouching about his bad leg but we did have a lovely Italian dinner tonight
in Toms River as well as lunch today at Surf Taco..
Cheers to all!!
Jim
