Sigh.........Here we go, again. Man, this list needs a monitor. This
thread will be a total waste of space, will convince NO ONE of ANYTHING,
and just generally piss a lot of folks off.
My suggestion to all would be to simply "check your politics at the
door, please". I was planning to unsubscribe, for a few days, for my
Watkins Glen odyssey, anyway. I guess I'll just do it today, instead of
Wednesday evening.
BTW, I hope to see some of you at Watkins Glen. I'll be hanging around
the Western Pennsylvania Triumph Assn's hospitality tent (for Triumph
racers, of which I'm definitely not one) in the paddock area.
I'll re-subscribe when I return, by which time the pending political
babble thread should have passed.

if the DNC has their way they'll be bringing Chicago politics
to the White House.
And this would be worse than:
1. Florida politics in the White House.
2. A moron in the White House who is reaponsible for starting a war
based
entirely on lies. 4000 plus American dead, untold Iraqi. The U. S.
Armed
forces stretched thin fighting a war against daddy's nemesis, not
fighting
the organization that attacked the US. The National debt increased by
hundeds of Billions (if not Trillions) of dollars. To put this in terms
of
taxes: when the government borrows money to pay for things it can't
afford
(such as senseless wars that don't contribute to the National security)
it
uses that money to compete with ordinary citizens for goods and
services.
The law of supply and demand says that if more money chases the same
goods
the price goes up. Your dollar doesn't buy as much. Thus, the
government
has reduced your net worth. Since the government can just print more
money
to buy more goods and services it can reduce your net worth as much as
it
wants in order to pay for as many boondoggles as it wants. INFLATION IS
A
TAX, plain and simple. So when you find that you are spending 20 or 30
per
cent more for your groceries and everything else, you now know where
that
money is going.
Wake up.
