APT told me that I could have problems with the knurled knob fitting on my
North/South "A" series engine if I have a modern pre-engaged starter
installed. I do have one of those starters. It has plenty of room. I'm not
sure which starter has the clearance issue. If you did have a clearance
problem with the knob, cut it off and file flats onto the top of the threaded
pressure adjusting screw. Problem solved :-)
