Firing order is off. Can be caused by:
Plug wires going to wrong plugs
Thinking that the dizzy is rotating one direction when it rotates the
other
Thinking that you are at TDC on #1 when you are really at TDC on
another cylinder (Marks still line up)
Dwell (Point gap) is too much or too little giving weak spark
All plugs are now fouled from not starting with the presence of fuel
for so long
Bad run of plugs
Head gasket blown so that there is no or little compression
These are the ones that have plagued me in the past anyway. ;-)
