Yes, this list HAS had it's share of A-holes. I recall someone (who still
may be lurking) trying to troll me into a negative discussion about Buster.
In talking with Buster on the phone, never meeting him in person, I can see
where one could develop such an attitude about him. <BG>
We had Ed, until MJB kicked him off. I still think his spirit lingers from
time to time. We had Montana Bob, we've had others I can't recall, due to
their insignificance.
The point is, this list, with all it's off topic banter, has a way of
hitting the lever, to flush out the crap. We all have our faults, but for
the most part, the fault we ALL share, is our insane desire to keep these
little "Yugo's of Yesteryear" ON THE ROAD. Be it giving, or selling cheaply
the parts, by whatever means necessary. I saw this at LotO, with Jim
Johnson's Midget. It was started, and something else would break. The parts
kept arriving, until it was running, and STAYED running. He even drove it in
the skills tests and what not. NEVER was a bill or a fee brought up, other
than a request for a cold adult beverage.
So, how do we prepare anyone for a list such as this? I really don't think
you can. Life has made us who we are, and if you don't fit, prepare to be
flushed, cuz we got enough crap to deal with, with our little cars.....
