Hi David,
That's looks like a really nice car.
Seven thousands dollars does buy a lot of nice work and it'd be a great loss
to the Spridget world not to spend the insurance money getting the car
straight.
Say hi to Bill Gilroy just outside Seattle, if you see him.

I'm sitting here reading about all the fun everyone had, and some stories of
trials and travails on the long journey. I'm sorry I missed the event, but
it just wasn't in the cards.
To the point, last night, I was driving my Midget to a band rehersal, and
right on my own street, I'm going less than 20 mph, the minivan in front of
me stops in the middle of the road. I stop too, trying to figure out what
this guy is up to. Then, he puts it in reverse, and rams my car!
I am 800 miles away from my village. In my old home town, I had friends who
owned body shops, friends who owned transmission shops, friends who owned
Foriegn Car Parts Stores. I had to move to Washington for a new job, and I
don't know anyone or anything here. The guy has good insurance, but the
estimate is over 7000 dollars to fix the car. The front frame rails have
never been straight since the LAST accident I had in it 10 years ago, so I
am thinking of taking the money and parting out the car....I need the cash
right now to pay bills. I'm by no means poor, just bad timing to get a big
expensive house when your income comes from selling Trucks and SUV's for a
living... Wife thinks it is time to give up the MG hobby, at least for now.
I'm rambling, but what I really need now is going to be an oshit of my own.
If the body shop at my dealership can straighten the frame rails enough to
get the front end alignment back, the car just will need two fenders, a
front valance, a new grill, some turn signals and headlight rings.
I know I can deal with it, but my spirit is weak.
