I've got a bit of trouble with my clutch pedal. It seems that the the hole at
the top of the clutch pedal and the hole on the clutch MC push rod have both
been stretched into oblong shapes, resulting in extra free play in the pedal,
and the push rod isn't getting pushed in all the way, creating an "iffy"
shifting situation. Here is a picture of the mess...

I guess welding a proper hole onto the end of the clutch pedal would be the
tidyest thing to do. But I don't do welding. What I think I want to do at
least at first is go after the hole with some bits of metal and lots of JB
Weld. Also, I see that I probably have to un-mount the entire MC support
structure to get the clutch MC off, to get the push rod out, which looks like
no fun, so I will probably opt to do some sort of repair on the existing push
rod as well. Or is there a way to get that push rod out with dissecting the
whole thing? I am just back from the (closing this year) Moss store in Dover,
NJ, and have a new push rod in hand.
OR, does anyone have a spare clutch pedal they can part with?
Thanks,
Steve
