Cruise control lowers mileage considerably. It constantly changes the
throttle to maintain a constant speed.
Holding constant throttle improves mileage.
Trust me on this...an average tour is around 12,000 - 13,000 miles per
month, and all of our vehicles are equipped with cruise control, which we
don't use because it ruins our mileage and eats up our income.
