So does the SILENCE mean that nobody out here has an answer to my question
or ????? Surely I am not the only one that has encountered this problem.

Subject: [Spridgets] wheel bearing question
Lets see if I can word this right to possibly get an answer to the problem J
New roller ball bearings (thrust type) installed on the front hubs. Both
sides were installed 68 miles ago (i.e. races seated right and the spacer
inserted correctly. Now the drivers side still is the way it should be but
the passenger side has play in the hub. Checked that the nut was snugged
down and all looks correct. Any ideas on the problem and how to correct it?
Have heard before about shims being necessary sometimes but dont
understand that concept.Ideas and no I dont want to change to tapered
roller bearings <grin> if at all possible.
Oh yea..the car is a 1960 Bugeye (aka Iris)
Thanks
Leo
