Hi Mike,
Actually quart very 2 thousand miles is not that unusual.
If you changed it at 3000 mile intervals, would you be concerned
if it was down only about a quart?
GM's Northstar motors are notorious oil burners, tho not noticeable by the
tailpipe.
800-1000 miles per quart is not at all unusual and in fact considered"normal"
by service writers.
