Robert,
I have used a similar rack - Generic from Pep boys years ago. It mounts in
the trunk or hatch back door. It worked. - It was not as good as the roof rack
or trailer hitch ones. You did not say how far you ride. The one i had that was
the trailer hitch kind. Had its draw backs. The bike had to be on just right or
it would hit the car. The only one i can not say i had issues with is the roof
rack. May be a collapsible bike would work. There is a guy in Manhattan Beach
who rides one all the time. He has a Bugeye. The bike fits behind the seats. He
pulls it out and Cruz's the water front. Just a thought.

I live 20 miles from where I work and on most days I drive my truck 10
miles to the Durham Bulls ballpark, park my truck and ride my bike for
the rest of the way. At night it's the reverse. On days when I want to
drive the MG I have to pass on the bike ride. I've been looking for a
way to carry the bike on the MG that won't tear up the paint and the
sheet metal.
If anyone has used one of these I'd love to hear how it worked out. I
don't know if there is a way to put a small trailer hitch on a Midget
but if there is that would allow me to use a hitch mounted rack and I
wouldn't have to worry about the paint or denting the trunk lid. If
anyone knows if that is possible please let me know.
Thanks,
Robert
