I had a 1275 with a cross-flow rad in Huntsville, AL.
Summer weather was typically 106F at 96% humidity.
Never had an over-heating problem, even in traffic.
But the temp would not get off the peg in January in Wyoming!!
Perhaps there is enough of a difference between a down-flow and a cross-
flow radiator that you don't need to revise the plumbing twice a year...
