Hello Spridgets,
i have a spare set of rear springs. those ON the car a (a 1966) at present are
"tired", but i like the way the car sits. well, maybe a touch low in
the back, BUT having seen the factory sales book, they are SUPPOSED
to sit lower in the rear. i've been to ABFM's and ALL the restored
cars have spings that RAISE the rear end to the point that they have
a forward rake! NOT COOL... so, the question, ..
Bentley gives a working load of 375 lbs, with 4.437 inches of free
camber. .. is this enough data to give to a spring shop to have them
make by spare springs the correct "springiness", or is there other
information that i need, and does anyone HAVE that info to share?..
this way i can get the springs (which i believe are from a later car
with a higher spring rate than i want) done and have no real down
time for the swap.... ... ...
