I think the Metropolitan came with the 1500 (1489) motor, so I don't know what the difference in the head might be -- unless it is a bit de-tuned for the Metro over the MGA? Another Barney question. The early Metros had a 1200 and the later ones had the 1500. All had only a single carb though.
