I felt sooo bloody clever, getting the engine in and out in one weekend. But
last night I found that the new clutch still slips when I pound the throttle.
Under I go, and discover that the clutch release lever is not retreating far
enough. The 3mm spacer I used with the old 5-speed isn't needed with this
one, and it keeps the clutch from fully disengaging.
So tonight I start taking it out again after dinner. Pisser!!! It will take
all of 10 seconds to pop out the spacer. I just wonder whether there is
enough skin left on a few knuckles to do it again so soon. Maybe I'll leave
it for the weekend and just play with the EFI stuff for a few evenings.
