And I am using the Prothane bushings throughout,
with the exception of the upper trunion bushings
which are the Nylatron negative camber bushings
and the 3/4" swaybar which has proprietary nylon
bushings. I autocross my Midget extensively and I
like the predictability of the Prothane. I also like the
fact that they will put up with the abuse for years before
I need to replace them. AND that when I do, I will not
have to carve the darn things out of there like the rubber
ones they replaced.

The factory did not use them because
they did not exist when they designed the car, they cost
more, and the factory did not really care what wore out
once the car left the dealership.

Nowadays there are at least three different firmnesses
from which to choose. I know that at least one supplier
(I don't remember which one because I am not in the
market for these) has one that emulates the firmness(?)
of the rubber and comes in black.

BTDT won't go back.
