Hello,
"Two long blasts followed by one short blast, finishing with a long blast"
My understanding is that this comes from curtesy of her magesty the qween of
england.
When trains first came into action overthere, the other vehiculs (horse, carts
and horse carts) had priority over the train...
Except when the Qween was on the train of course...
To annouce that HRH (Her Royal Highness) was on the train, the train was to
wistle the letter Q (for Qween) in morse or : long long short long...
Cyrille, well of knowledge... If not mistaken :)
