5/16 x 18tpi. Standard UNC coarse thread. I used a chunk of "all-thread"
from Sears to attach mine. I used the standard backing plates, followed by
APT's cast aluminum stub stacks, topped by a locknut, then another locknut
just under a flat plate to top the filter elements and another nut on top of
the plate.
