i'm planning 2000+ miles each way with a 1098.. right now i've
got the 4.22 but am looking at installing a 3.9 rear.. already
have a 5 speed.
i've found that i get better gas mileage OR can drive faster
with the top up! took a 500 mile trip a couple a weeks back..
about 30 mpg top down, about 36 top up... that's a 20%
improvement, driving at about 62 mph/~3500 rpm. ..
consider what spares you'll need to carry, and what you could
pick up along the way if you need it.
points? plugs? hoses? belts? fuel pump?
