Subject: Fuel gauge always reads full

My fuel gauge always reads full (I figured this out the hard way when I
first got the car). So now I carry a gallon of gas with me and fill up
pretty often, but if I were so inclined to try and fix this is it more
common for the problem to be in the gauge or the sender or the wiring?
