What type of nuts and washers should be used to hold the rear springs to the body. I have every combination. Out of the 8 bolts that hold the two springs to the floor of the car, I have 4 self-locking nuts, 4 plain hex nuts, 3 lock washers, 2 plain flat washers, 2 fender washers cut on one side (shaped like a "D"), and one bolt with no washer. Since I am removing the springs for cleaning and painting I thought I should put them back with the proper fasteners. Gary in CT, '61 BE  |
