When I have experienced this, in other transmissions as well as my Sprites, the problem is bearings. Could be needles on/in the laygear, ball bearings in the cases, combination of both. PO repairs, unless you saw them yourself, cannot be relied upon to have been done properly. Failing to replace one piece (e.g., replacing layshaft needles but not the shaft or the gear) will gradually lead to deterioration of the new parts. |
