Hi, Multiply that weight by centrifugal force, or centripetal force, or whatever and maybe you'll find some extra HP differences. Force/power required to spin mass of heavy metal object at 5000 rpm and all. Other than the wheels and diff, the flywheel is the biggest chunk of metal that the motor is trying to turn. Makes sense to me that it would make a marked inprovement in performance. Plus, Frank's Butt Dyno is probably well calibrated. Cheers, Derf |
