engine/tranny removal

Suddenly it seems my e-mails aren't going through.  So if this is a repeat,
I apologize.  I'm nearly ready to pull the engine and tranny out of the
bug-eye, but I don't see how to detach the drive shaft from the rear of the
tranny.  Or will the engine/tranny just slide out 'cause they are only
attached via the spindles on the output shaft?  Clueless as usual.  Thanks.
