I'm 5' 10" with short legs (28" inseam) and consequently a long torso.
In every Japanese car I've ever been in, the top of my head has been
wedged against the roof. There's more headroom in my Midget with the top
up.
This is just my opinion, but I've never liked any of the Japanese cars.
One of the guys who works with me has a 2 door Acura that he calls a
"Sports Car". I call it Barbie's dream car ;-) There is just something
soul-less about them. My wife had a Civic hatchback when I met her and I
was so happy the day I finally talked her into selling it and getting a
Volvo. The Volvo is no MG but at least it has some personality. When the
deer hit her and smashed up the side of the car that she and my son were
both sitting on I was damn glad that she got rid of that Honda and was
in Volvo.
Having been off the list for a while I was surprised to see all the
positive comments about the Miatas. To each his own I guess, but I come
down firmly on Frank's side of this discussion ;-)
And what is up with those kids who put loud exhausts on Hondas? I guess
I'm just getting too old to understand these kids these days. Did they
really think those Vin Diesel movies were *that* cool?
;-)
