The consensus is that 5/8" UNF is correct as I expected.  So, I have made an 
ink amendment to the parts catalogue that was trying to sell me something the 
wrong size.  Could the part they send might be right and that just the 
catalogue was wrong but I'll be ordering elsewhere in any case.

Now, to sort out the long sleeved shirt that arrived in the post today when I 
specifically ordered short sleeved.
