If your present router is 5 years old then you are probably not doing work
at NASA or Pixar Studios.
A G router can be had for less than $50.
An N router will cost at least twice as much.
If speed is a must then by all means go with the N.

Maybe look for a special from Staples or Office Depot or Best Buy or CompUSA
and pick one up locally so you can return it if your range is lousy.
