Hi, Phil -
There are several sources for standard torques applied to fasteners of
different sizes, materials, and heat treat. Google "standard torque" and
you'll find them.
Cheers!

Subject: Torque values for rear suspension
I don't see any torque values in my workshop manuels for the Bugeye rear
suspension. I put the rear spring box bolts in (forward ones) and torqued
to 25 ft lbs. These are the ones that drop from insdie the car and not thru
the springs.
Are there any recommended torque values for the nuts holding the rear
springs to the spring box. Both the forward ones and the U bolts?
For the radius arm brackets etc?
Any general guidelines on torque for 3/8, 5/16 and 7/16 sizes (all 28 or 20
tpi)
Thanks.
