As a piece of trivia
After the front end loader had finished mashing the E-Type, Michael 
Caine decided the damage didn't look bad enough. 
So he took a sledge hammer and "with vigor and glee" proceeded to add 
to the damage before the car was pushed over the edge.
The car was rescued (much later) by an enthusiast.
