Linda,
Edmunds writes for the masses and worries about things that only
the masses worry about. I don't own one because I think its ugly but
its sister the Sky is #1 on my new car wish list. I would not worry
about what Edmunds has to say about the car, only what they have to
say about its reliability which is good. If you on the Spridgets
list you most certainly are not part of car masses that Edmunds is
thinking about when they write about cars. I saw nothing on that
article that would deter me from buying one if i could get past its
looks and I assume all its negatives are also on its sister regarding
the top mechanism and poor interior fit, etc. I do wonder why they
could not come up with a working top but it would not stop me since
the top on a convertible is merely something to put up a few times a year.
For me if I had 40+k it would be a Lotus Elise but I don't have
40+k so its a Sky that will most likely be my next new car, of course
my current daily driver is only 11 years old so I have a few years to
save up my money still.
