Ahhhh. I should have known Peter C would have the good stuff! I am
putting together a "shopping list", for this winter's various Spridget
projects. Peter C will be my first call. The Roadster Factory is, also
excellent, but they aren't yet Spridget parts guys. However, for stuff
that is common to Midgets, Spitfires and MGBs, they are a good source.
BUT, whatever you guys do, check with the vendors who post on and
support Spridget Talk FIRST. They deserve our support.

Subject: RE: Midget Tie Rod Ends*
I switched my '79 over from the thin and flimsy stock rack to the more
beefy and much much quicker early rack, and when I ordered my tie rod
ends from Vicky Brit they sent me Taiwanese "permanently greased" ends
with some kind of silicone-like boot that cracked the first time they
flexed after installation. I sent them back for refund and ordered a
proper pair with zerk fittings from Peter C. on the list. Now things
are hunky dory. The quicker steering took a little getting used to
after the longer turn the stock rack took, but I like it better.
