WST,

The kits from Sears or wherever work well. Just flip over the pipe clamp to
get a flat backed flare rather than an angled one. Also do not do step 2
which usually makes the double flare by pushing in the tip of the bubble
flare.

(not domestic "double flare") style flare kit?
