Thanks, guys. Wednesday or Thursday I will get the car up on stands
and see what I've got. I don't think the studs are stripped out as I
was able to put pretty good torque on the nuts. Maybe one or more has
worked loose as David suggests. I do have the donut in place (or at
least did). What bothered me the last two times I put this together is
that even after the nuts were torqued on the flange, the downpipe was
loose. Made me think that something was out of order in the fitment.
Anyway, I'll post what I find later this week.
This is particularly infuriating as the car is running beautifully and
I'm really enjoying driving it. My motorcycles are starting to give me
threatening looks.... ;-)
