Mark,
I welded up a tube that comes off my output from the top of the head - the
sensor is inside the tube to catch the heat of the water. I found this to be
much more effective getting my electric fan to turn on early enough to help
cool
the engine. At least for me it turned out to be more effective than just
sticking the sensor into the radiator as indicated in the instructions.
