This happened to me on the turn, fuel and tach. When I replaced the
fuse, all was fine, but every now and then, the fuse would just blow.
What I found was an unhooked wire off the brake light switch at the
pedal box. There was a large rat that was making itself to home under
the bonnet, and I assume he pulled it out of the connector somehow. So
I laid out an all you can eat buffet care of D-Con, and solved that
issue. I guess when I was going down a bumpy road (4th street in my
town) and hit the brakes, the wire would ground out on the body, and
burn the fuse. Once I hooked it all back up (I did that after the
funeral for our newly departed rat) I have yet to blow a fuse.
I know that the same symptoms don't always mean the same thing, but at
least it is somewhere to start.
