The kid next door just came home as the proud new owner of a Marshall solid
state guitar amp that pushes out 100 watts. This is one of Marshalls budget
amps, not a tube amp.
It has been a supposition that all Marshall amps are made in England (at
least all the Marshall tube amps that I have owned).
I looked at the back of the amp and in fine print it said "Made in Vietnam !"
I was astounded. This was the amp line that was brought into prominence
with the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.
So I guess we now have Vietnamese production plants getting involved as well.
Unbelieveable.
