Oh, yeah....a "sticking" throttle cable is often the culprit on Judson
supercharged
cars as well...the Holley (like the Weber) is extremely sensitive in this
respect and a
sticking cable is often the culprit in termsof an off-idle "bog" on
acceleration as the butterflies "snap" open rather than open more
progressively.
Don't feel bad, Derf....
few DCOE users recognize the accelerator pump jet as a high end "bleed" for
high rpm mixture enrichment. But knowing this
can allow for a leaner main system
and thus, much better fuel economy overall.
