rear brakes

With all the collective knowledge at the Buster Cluster, and running out of 
things to do, perhaps they, and anyone else, can give me some pointers on 
installing new rear cylinders.  I can't seem to get the rubber boot and cyl 
through the hole.  The cyls are new but the boot is old.  Should I get new 
boots?  What sequence do I use to make this go in and seat properly?
Please, any help would be very much appreciated.
