My Father and mother took us 3 kids from NJ to Florida in a TR3 back in 
63 or 64.
And I did have 7 people in a 67 Sprite, top up. We went bowling that night.
It took 3 people to drive. I sat in the driver's seat and worked the 
pedals, the girl on my lap steered, the guy in the middle shifted, 2 
more on the passenger seat, and 2 in the back.
