The HLC was held yeterday in Elkhart Lake. I (actually Denise) drove Whitey
in the motorcade on the original road circuit. I filmed. Whitey performed
beautifully in the 90 degree heat, and never looked better (except for the
missing turn signal lens in the rear that I busted when I was washing and
waxing the car that morning). After the motorcade there was a dedication
ceremony that included officials, and Augie Pabst, John Fitch and Phil Hill.
Four cars that these guys raced in '51 and '52 were there. I'll try to get
some pics up some where. But it was a great event on a beautiful day.
