HISTORIC RACE CIRCUITS OF ELKHART LAKE
DEDICATION CEREMONY
THURSDAY - JULY 13, 2006 - 3 to 5 PM
Members of interested Sports Car Clubs are cordially invited to attend the
dedication ceremony for the Historic Race Circuits of Elkhart Lake. The
ceremony will be held in Elkhart Lake at the corner of Rhine and Lake
Streets. The race circuits used for SCCA sponsored open road sports car
racing in 1950, 51 and 52 were recorded on the National Register of Historic
Places on February 17, 2006. Elkhart Lake joins Watkins Glen as the only
open road race circuits being preserved. Thirteen Historical Roadside
Markers have been placed around the circuits and a Wisconsin State
Historical Marker is being place in the Village of Elkhart Lake.

The Dedication Ceremony is the "kick-off" event of the Kohler International
Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America and the Vintage Racing and
Sports Car Festival in Elkhart Lake.
