It is 1973 for smog law in California because those lovely people in office
here in California have frozen the rolling smog law. There is one thing i
always wondered about the law. If you can import a car 25 years or older with
no DOT or EPA intervention. Like say you buy a 1981 car in from some other
country. It has no smog equipment. So does that mean you can not drive it in
California or is there a way around the smog law? How can a state not register
the car when it was brought in legally?
