Replace it? With the head on the motor...in
the car? Oh, boy!!!
Actually, you're better off closing off that
port and running without it (slightly better
cooling). Simply drill a 1/4" hole in the thermostat plate and this will
suffice as a
water bypass for warm-up or in the event the stat should fail in the closed
position.
Or Moss sells the type of stat that will fully open upon failure.
Of course, how you would do this under
the circumstances of having the head on
the motor in the car is another story! :(
