The worst thing for straps is open trailers...UV(sun) and 
wet(rain)....helmets can lose their fire resistance in the liner,and any damage 
not reported is 
caught with replacements....so is any upgrading in material technology or 
standards,..if you've ever had a serious crash,you wouldn t hesitate on 
replacement 
rules
