Wrong on both counts. OS X is based on FreeBSD, which is NOT linux.
And the reason is they can not get anything to install w/o the users
permission (username and password). Not the size of the population.
Windoze is a larger user base, but it also full of holes. Why do you
think it gets patched so often??
