Couldn't you just bring it to a rad shop to get it flushed out? -----Original Message----- Mike, you likely can do it; however, if it's a used oil cooler and your engine is relatively new think twice. There's no really good way to clean out an oil cooler and so you will be introducing all kinds of potentially nasty things (such as might be found in dirty oil) into your engine.
